With 10 years as a Process Safety Engineer, her contributions in Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) include Southeast Asia’s largest hydrogen refuelling station, where she transformed insights on large-scale electrolyser deployment, driving down costs and integration of technologies, setting benchmarks for future projects. She champions collaboration between tech developers and R&D teams to align innovation with Malaysia’s hydrogen roadmap and enable technology viability. A strategic contributor to capability development, Tay was instrumental in establishing Petronas’ collaboration with the Centre of Hydrogen Safety, shaping standards, guidelines, and talent. Her foresight and leadership continue to position Petronas as a front-runner in the green hydrogen economy.
