Isabel Mogstad currently serves as the Chief of Staff and Business Advisor to bp’s Senior Vice President for the Gulf of Mexico and Canada. In this role, Isabel provides strategic guidance and support, ensuring the smooth operation and coordination of activities across the region.
Most recently, Isabel was the head of bp’s Policy and Federal Government Affairs team. In this capacity, Isabel was responsible for bp’s engagement with federal policymakers and regulatory agencies, advocacy for policies that support bp’s business objectives in the US, and strengthening bp’s network of third-party stakeholders.
Prior to bp, Isabel spent four years at the Environmental Defense Fund, one of the largest environmental advocacy groups, where she led technology innovation initiatives and corporate partnerships with the energy industry to address methane emissions from the oil and gas value chain.
Isabel started her career at Schlumberger and is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and the London School of Economics. Isabel, her husband, and their bulldog have recently returned to Houston after almost a decade in Washington DC.
