Liz Dennett, Ph.D. is a technologist and entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in biotech and energy industries. As the Founder and CEO of Endolith, she leads a team focused on using microbes and synthetic biology for sustainable mining. Previously, she was the CTO of Cemvita, developing nature-inspired biosolutions for a carbon-neutral future.
Liz has held senior roles at Wood Mackenzie, AWS, Biota Technology, Hess Corporation, and the NASA Astrobiology Institute. She is an advisory board member for the UW-Madison Dept. of Geoscience.
Her work includes leading the AWS implementation of the OSDU Data Platform and commercializing subsurface genomics at Biota Technology. Liz was named #13 in the “Top 50 Women Leaders in Houston” in 2022, has given over 100 presentations, authored numerous publications, and hosted the Horizons podcast on the Energy Transition.
Liz holds a MS and PhD in Geoscience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed executive education at the Haas School of Business. Her passions include building things, board games, and embracing challenges.
