Nurul holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS and embarked on my professional journey in 2012 with PETRONAS Group Technical Solutions as a Process Design Engineer. Over the years, she has had the privilege of contributing her expertise to a wide range of projects, spanning downstream and upstream sectors, including gas processing plants, refineries, petrochemical plants, and central processing platforms. Her involvement has extended from detailed feasibility studies to front-end engineering design and execution stages, with recent participation in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) initiatives.
Beyond her technical roles, she is actively engaged in internal and external social events, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues, engineering practitioners and community members. Her approachable demeanor has facilitated enduring connections, while her passion for presenting technical papers has allowed her to distill complex concepts into understandable information, earning recognition and respect within the oil and gas industry. In addition, she has also actively contributed to the local universities, specifically to the engineering students by giving adjunct lecturers, acting as industrial advisors for final year projects, and external examiners for certain subjects.
