Pearl Chu is currently Director Technical Domains & University Relations, responsible for the strategic development of the global SLB technical community as well as corporate relations with universities and academia. Previously, Pearl held the role of Technology Center Manager leading one of the largest engineering and manufacturing centers developing products and services that SLB provides globally.
With over 30 years of experience with SLB, Pearl has held multiple leadership roles including Human Resources Director for the Schlumberger Technology organization, several Operations management roles with P&L responsibilities, R&D management, and marketing. Having started her career as a mechanical engineer in Houston, Texas, Pearl has spent almost half of her time working internationally with positions in Paris, Beijing and Kuala Lumpur. This mix of international experience, technical background and variety of functional roles has resulted in a unique blend of technical/international leadership in the industry.
Pearl holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (Master of Science) and Texas A&M University (Bachelor of Science), and in 2023, was appointed Chair of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
