Ruzila Idin currently leads the Global Human Resources (HR) Partners for PETRONAS Downstream Business, a position she has held since July 2021. Through her HR stewardship and leadership, her domain covers Downstream operations consisting of refining, marketing, and trading of crude oil and petroleum products as well as manufacturing and marketing of petrochemical products including derivatives and specialty chemicals.
Ruzila has over 28 years of experience in PETRONAS where she brings a wealth of expertise gained from various diversified HR leadership roles such as Corporate, Gas, Upstream and LNG Businesses, including international exposure at PETRONAS Australia Pty Limited in Brisbane, Australia as well as heading the transformation of PETRONAS Group Digital HR team.
A graduate of Business Administration from National University of Malaysia and Professional Certificate in Management from The University of Melbourne, Ruzila is a Certified Solution Focused Coach by the Canadian Council of Professional Certification. She is also a qualified Newfield Coach Certification Program for Ontology Coaching and has just recently completed IMD’s Sustainability Masterclass. An inspirational leader, she is a dedicated coach and provides candid feedback to continuously nurture the development of future leaders.
Ruzila is a strong advocate and the driving force behind the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agenda in PETRONAS. Her passion has led her speaking at various internal and external forums and platforms, including her panelist role at Energy Asia 2023 in Kuala Lumpur.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ruzila cherishes her role as a mother of 3. During her leisure time, she indulges in diverse interests; amongst others diving, painting, photography, crafting, and traveling. Her sheer commitment to coaching also extends into her personal life.
