Yasmin Zaharudin is a geoscientist with a strong academic background, having graduated from The University of Arizona Tucson with a degree in Geoscience. She began her professional journey with PETRONAS, where she spent 9 years honing her expertise. During the initial 6 years, she served as a reservoir geologist, concentrating on the development of oil and gas fields. This encompassed various critical tasks such as constructing reservoir models, overseeing drilling operations, and conducting offshore visits.
In 2020, she embarked on a career transition, transitioning to the role of SKG12: Mechanical Engineering Technical Planner within the Group Technical Capability Management team. In this role, she has been instrumental in implementing strategies and frameworks for technical staff development. She facilitates the execution of plans, collaborates with content experts, and ensures consistent compliance with policies for technical capability enhancement across the Skill Group.
Her prior experience as a reservoir geologist includes noteworthy achievements such as leading drilling campaigns for complex carbonate fields. With a history of successful engagements in the energy sector, she is now actively involved in the enhancement of technical capability within her Skill Group. Her diverse background equips her to bridge the gap between technical expertise and strategic implementation, ensuring the continuous growth and excellence of technical professionals.
