Barbara is an engineer with over 40 years of experience dedicated to advancing the gas industry’s environmental sustainability. Two decades ago, she embarked on a mission to promote hydrogen as a clean fuel, leveraging existing gas infrastructure and systems to propel the development of a cleaner hydrogen sector.
A pioneer in the field of hydrogen, Barbara has successfully influenced numerous energy leaders to recognize the advantages of hydrogen. Her expertise led her to collaborate with IRENA as their sole gas expert, where she established the Green Gas Team. Additionally, she spearheads the Ready4H2 project, facilitating the transition of 70 gas companies across 10 European countries to hydrogen. Barbara also provides guidance to Australian companies on integrating hydrogen into their energy strategies.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Barbara is a mentor to aspiring young professionals.
