Rumaitha is an Omani scientist and environmental advocate focused on sustainable solutions to climate change. Her 2021 TED talk on women as key to our climate future has over a million views. She is the Business Development Manager at Hydrom, leading green hydrogen development in Oman, and serves on the executive board of the Environment Society of Oman. Rumaitha collaborates with the Omani government on sustainable diversification and energy transition strategies. Internationally, she has advised the government of Greenland and the Arab League on climate resilience, sustainable tourism, and youth empowerment. Recognized by the UN, EU, NATO, and listed in Reuters’s climate hot list, BBC 100 Women, and Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business. Founder of WomeX, member of the Arab Youth Council on Climate Change, and co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Davos Lab. Rumaitha holds degrees from Harvard and Oxford, and is the first female soccer analyst in the Arab World.
