John has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His career spans a wide range of leadership roles in chemical and process control engineering, reliability, field operations, and health, safety, and environmental compliance, including key positions at BP and Plains. John currently serves as Senior Director of Operations at Plains, where he leads a team of health, safety and environmental compliance field professionals that support operations in mitigating process safety, personal safety and compliance risk. He has a passion for changing culture and developing personnel to realize their full potential. John holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lamar University, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA.
