We accept nominations for women involved in corporate R&D divisions, universities and other research institutes as well as those in technical, engineering and design based roles.
Policy and Regulation
This category recognises women creating, analysing and lobbying for policy to support the nascent hydrogen economy. This includes women who have set up or are part of the team developing government strategies, those working to determine how industry needs and fair policy can both be met, and those involved in creating regulation to ensure accountability for hydrogen’s promise of decarbonisation. Whether she is working in a government department, a corporate policy role, or is leading from the front in lobbying the companies and countries developing their hydrogen strategies, the advisory board will be looking to the changemakers.
Industrial Use and Switching
This category recognises women involved in both projects and R&D to switch hard-to-decarbonise sectors from fossil fuels to hydrogen. We encourage nominations recognising women in aviation, refining, mobility and steelmaking who are exploring ways to decarbonise using hydrogen. Nominations in this category should come from industry, women working in hydrogen companies or the hard-to-abate sector who are driving development of hydrogen projects.
Rising Stars
This category recognises women in the early stages of their career, wherever they fit in the hydrogen sector. We encourage nominations for apprentices and women in the first three years of their career at a given company who have already demonstrated their talent and ambition within hydrogen. Celebrating the women in the hydrogen sector is not related to job title, we recognise that those new to hydrogen, whether new graduates or those coming from other industries, have a vital role to play in the development of hydrogen as a key part of the energy mix and to ensuring a diverse, equal and inclusive future.
