Donna is the Head of Legal for Archaea Energy (a bp subsidiary) and is responsible for leading the legal department and supporting bp’s renewable growth in biogas. Donna is a member of the Archaea Leadership Team and is an active member of the Houston Legal Leadership Team. 

During her 24-year career with bp, Donna has served in a number of senior leadership roles in the legal department, specializing in commercial litigation, environmental and regulatory issues, and commercial issues including negotiating large construction contracts. Following the Deepwater Horizon accident in 2010, Donna managed the global legal risk for internal and external communications relating to the accident. In 2013, Donna joined bp America and was appointed to the role of Chief of Staff and Special Counsel to the Chairman & President, bp America, providing support on a broad range of matters across bp’s US portfolio of business, including bp’s compliance with the Deepwater Horizon Plea Agreement, the negotiation of the Administrative Agreement with the EPA, and protecting bp’s license to operate in the US. Since 2016, Donna has managed the legal teams and provided executive support for SVPs and projects in the Gulf of America, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, Angola, and Indonesia.   

Prior to joining bp, Donna worked at a large law firm where she represented major energy companies on extensive commercial, environmental and regulatory issues relating to upstream and midstream activities.
