Over the course of her 19-year career with ExxonMobil, Sara has held a variety of technical and leadership roles across subsurface, development planning, and business strategy, with a particular focus on deepwater developments.
Sara began her career as a Reservoir Engineer and has since led multidisciplinary teams and complex projects across ExxonMobil’s upstream portfolio in Africa, South America, Kazakhstan, and the United States. Her experience spans reservoir management, field development, business planning, and major capital project maturation. In 2024, she assumed the role of Select Stage Manager for Guyana’s seventh FPSO development project, leading the team through concept selection and project design and delivering Full Funding approval in a record-setting 11 months following Gate 1. After transitioning the project into execution, she took on a new challenge supporting Guyana’s second gas development and currently serves as Select Stage Manager for Guyana’s ninth FPSO project.
Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. A native Texan, she lives in Houston with her husband and three sons. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Sara is deeply committed to community service, having supported United Way of Greater Houston since 2007 and actively volunteering in leadership and service roles within her local schools and community.
