Karin Guardia Philippi is a Strategy & Innovation leader with over 12 years of experience at Shell/BG Group. She holds a background in Geophysics from the Imperial Colleague London and an MBA from Rice University, blending technical expertise with business acumen.

In her current role as Deep Water Strategy and Performance Lead, Karin supports senior executives in tracking performance, leading transformation efforts, optimizing portfolio decisions, setting capital ceilings, and shaping strategic direction for Shell’s Deep-Water Upstream Business. Her previous role in the Lubricants Strategy Portfolio involved driving commercial success through Digital transformation initiatives and process improvements, including Pricing Integrated Deal Making (IDM), Marketing Mix Modelling, and Customer 360. As the Digital Lead in Upstream, she spearheaded the journey to the cloud and pioneer the use of ML/AI to drive value in our exploration ventures.
