Samantha Hale Crispin is a seasoned M&A lawyer with 25 years of experience helping publicly traded and privately held corporate clients in complex M&A, capital markets and strategic business transactions. Strategic and private equity buyers and sellers rely on Samantha’s counsel for M&A transactions, including corporate reorganizations, spin-offs and split-offs, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and opportunistic, distressed and/or bankruptcy-related acquisitions and dispositions. She also advises in IPOs and other public offerings, PIPEs and other capital raising transactions. Samantha is firmwide Chair of the Corporate Department and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Samantha has been recognized as one of the “Top Women in Dealmaking” by The Deal since 2020 and one of the “Best Lawyers in America” by Best Lawyers since 2016. Samantha also serves on the board of directors of the North Texas Business Council for the Arts and the Executive Committee for the Center for Women in Law and previously served as the firmwide chair of the Baker Botts Global Women’s Forum and as a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. She also serves as the President of the Dallas Chapter of the Society for Corporate Governance.
